Ouma Partners with LilyLink to Expand Gestational Diabetes Care Nationwide

Ouma’s MFM-led virtual care and LilyLink’s connected glucose platform bring real-time gestational diabetes management nationwide

Ouma Health has partnered with LilyLink to expand access to comprehensive gestational diabetes care for patients and maternity practices nationwide.

Through the partnership, Ouma’s national clinical team will use LilyLink’s connected gestational diabetes management platform to support patients enrolled in Ouma’s diabetes-in-pregnancy program. The combined offering brings together Ouma’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine-led virtual care model and LilyLink’s purpose-built technology, allowing clinicians to monitor glucose data, provide ongoing guidance, and intervene when needed – without requiring patients to travel for specialty care.

Gestational diabetes affects up to 10% of pregnancies in the United States. Although the condition is manageable, effective treatment requires consistent monitoring and frequent communication between patients and their care teams. For many patients, particularly those in rural and underserved communities, access to clinicians experienced in managing diabetes during pregnancy remains limited.

LilyLink helps simplify that process by pairing an intuitive patient mobile app with an EHR-integrated provider portal and remote patient monitoring capabilities. Patients can record glucose readings and meals through the app, which integrates with leading continuous glucose monitors and glucometers. Ouma’s clinicians can then review actionable data in real time and guide each patient’s care throughout pregnancy.

“Diabetes in pregnancy is an area where consistent, connected management can make a significant difference in outcomes,” said Dr. Sina Haeri, co-founder and CEO of Ouma Health. “We built our program around Ouma’s MFM-led virtual care model and selected LilyLink’s purpose-built technology to help our clinicians monitor and guide patients wherever they live.”

The partnership also gives OB-GYN practices, health systems, and other maternity care providers a turnkey way to offer gestational diabetes management without building and staffing a separate internal program. Providers can refer patients to Ouma, whose national diabetes-in-pregnancy care team operates as an extension of the referring practice while keeping patients connected to their existing maternity care providers.

“This collaboration brings together LilyLink’s technology and Ouma’s clinical expertise to help more practices deliver comprehensive gestational diabetes care,” Dr. Haeri said. “It expands access for patients while giving maternity providers a seamless way to add specialized, virtual diabetes management to the care they already provide.”

“Gestational diabetes is common and manageable, but for too many women in rural areas and underserved communities, the day-to-day support to manage it well is out of reach,” said Tyler Rice, co-founder and CEO of LilyLink. “Ouma meets patients where they are. By giving its clinical team real-time data built specifically for gestational diabetes, we can help more mothers feel in control and help clinicians act earlier.”

The partnership expands Ouma’s ability to deliver specialized pregnancy care nationwide while creating a new pathway for maternity practices to connect their patients with technology-enabled, MFM-led gestational diabetes management.
